Airtel

has come forward and shared some basic awareness tips
exclusive for TelecomTalk

series of awareness tips

So what to
do if you lost your phone ?

Contact your local/nearest
Police Station [PS] as soon
as possible once you lose
your mobile phone and try to file a FIR [First
Information Report] with
the complete information
of your cell phone handset,
model, IMEI number,
battery number if possible, lost mobile phone number,
current contact details and this is a free service and you dont need to pay any amount to the police department.

If you do mobile banking, inform the
police and the respective
bank with the details.
Reach your Telecom
Service Provider 's office as soon as possible and file a complaint about the loss of
your handset with a copy
of your FIR and request
them to cancel the current
SIM card and try to reissue a new one with the Same
number,
because this way
you can make sure that the new owner of your mobile
phone does not make any
calls from your mobile phone and also you dontexpect huge post-paid
mobile phone bills which
you have not used.

Activate Phone Locks :

Whenever you buy a new mobile phone you are
offered a manual on how
to use this new handset,
you can check out the
complete process on how
to activate keypad and you need to always use this feature because if you lose your mobile phone the
new owner would try to
contact any local store to
unlock the phone and your chances of recovering the
mobile phone may increase.

It is recommended you
activate Mobile Tracker
option on your phone, if
available. With Mobile Tracker, it is often easy to
track your handset and get
back your phone. Backup

Address Book : You can
always take a backup of all your important contact numbers, email ID 's, Address Locations because
it helps in case you lose
your mobile phone and its
very important to have a
copy of this data. Either
export the whole list onto your PC. A duplicate SIM
can be collected from the
nearest dealer and will be
activated by them. If the
phone is lost while in
international roaming, call the customer care or
send a email to the
customer care to block the
calls of the particular no.
and try to inform the police
so that the handset and the no. is not misused. So now
we ask you do u have any
previous experience of
phone being lost ? How did
the cops take up the case

Trick Free skype to mobile call without buying credit

Posted: 06 Jun 2011 11:02 AM PDT

Hi friends! Here is a
trick to make free
calls from skype on
computer to any
mobile number.

First of all, you will
need 2 skype
accounts and skype
application in your
computer and
mobile.

With one a/c 'sing in' in skype in
computer

.
Then with 2nd a/c
'sign in' in mobile's skype
application. Then
add your 2nd a/c as a contact in your 1st
a/c and add the
number you want
to call in contact
detail. Then add this
contact. In your 1st a/c your 2nd a/c
will appear online.
Then click on that
contact and make
video call.

Don't make mobile call. On making video call
you will be
connected to the
number you
entered in the
contact.

That's how you can make free call. When u want to
make call to another
number. Just delete
that contact and
add that same
contact with other number.
That's all

10 Fantastic Windows 7 Tips & Tricks(For Better Functionality)

1.

PC Safeguard

I rarely let anyone use my
PC because I'm afraid he will mess it up, but it seems Microsoft has been thinking at me and came with a solution. The PC Safeguard doesn 't let anyone mess your PC
settings, because after the user logs off, the
configurations are reset
back to normal. Of course it will not restore the configurations changed by you, but only the ones
done by other users you
define.

To use PC Safeguard, go to Control Panel -> User
Accounts and create a new
account, then select "Set Up Pc Safeguard " and switch it on. Then you can stay
relaxed when others use
your computer, because
you won 't find anything changed, including
configurations,
downloaded software,
installed programs.

2. Screen Calibration Fortunately

, Windows 7
comes with a display
calibration wizard that lets
you set up the screen
brightness properly, so
you won 't have any problems viewing photos
or text. The problem was
that on one PC a photo
could look sharp and
bright and on another it
looks awful. Now the problem can be fixed by
pressing the Windows logo
key and then typing
"DCCW".

3. AppLocker

If you are usually sharing
your computer with
someone else, then you
might want to restrict their
access to your applications,
files or documents. Using the Windows 7 AppLocker
tool, you have a few
options to do this by
blocking other users to
access Executables,
Windows Installers, Scripts, a specific publisher or path. You can simply do this by
pressing the Windows key
then typing Gpedit.msc.
Then go to Computer
Configuration -> Windows
Settings -> Security Settings -> Application Control
Policies -> AppLocker.
Right click on one of the
options (Executables,
Installers, or Script) and
create a new rule. That should save you from a lot
of headaches.

4. Burn Images

We all had trouble with
image burning in Windows,
because it couldn 't do it itself, a standalone
software being needed.
With Windows 7 this will
not be a problem anymore.
All you have to do is
double-click the ISO image and burn it on the CD or
DVD that 's inserted in the drive.

5. Display Empty

Removable Drives Windows 7 will not showempty drives by default, so
if you connect an empty
drive to your PC, don 't worry, just go to
Tools ->Folder Options -> View and
uncheck "Hide empty drives in the computer
folder ". This doesn 't seem like a good idea and it
should not be default
setting, because it will be
hard for inexperienced
users to figure it out. I bet a lot of users will return their newly bought drive
thinking it 's broken.

6. Dock The Current
Windows

To The Left Side
Of The Screen This new feature seems
useful because sometimes
it's disturbing that windows seems to float
like crazy on the screen
and it's hard to attach them to one side of it. Now this
can easily be done using a keyboard shortcut. Press
the Windows key + Left
key (arrow) to dock it to
the left side of the screen. 6.1 Dock The Current
Windows To The Right Side
Of The Screen Press the Windows key +
Right key to dock it to the
right side of the screen.

7. Display Or Hide

The
Explorer Preview Panel Press ALT + P to hide it then
once again to display it.

8. Display Gadgets On Top

Of Other Windows Press ALT + G

9. Background Photo Slideshow

If you are like me, lazy and
bored, then you will want
to change the background
from time to time, wasting
a lot of time. Now you
don't have to do this anymore, because you can
set up a slideshow. Right click on the desktop
then go to Personalize ->
Desktop Background and
hold the CTRL key while
choosing the images. Then
you can choose the time intervals between imagesand opt to display them randomly or in a row.

10. Make The Taskbar Smaller

If you feel like the taskbar
is using too much of your
screen space, you can
choose to make the icons
smaller. To do this, right-
click on the Start button, then go to Properties ->
Taskbar and set it to "Use small icons"

If you have got two or even multiple Facebook accounts you might be at loss at how to open and manage them at the same time on the same computer and from the same browser such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Firefox! . If you have got two or even multiple Facebook accounts you might be at loss at how to open and manage them at the same time on the same computer and from the same browser such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Firefox! . However, as far as Facebook is concerned, the solution is pretty simple and
straightforward as it doesn't require any special application or software. All you will have to do is use your favorite browser, a nice addon and login your Facebook account right away! Yes, I know that normally Facebook doesn't allow you to use two accounts on the same browser, for example. But thanks to a nice workaround you will be able to trick Facebook into thinking that you are using only a profile!

Firefox
Right-click Firefox icon on your desktop.
Click Properties.
At the end of  the Firefox Target, add the following code at the end of tha path: -profilemanager -no-remote . You will get something like this: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -profilemanager -no-remote
Click OK.
Next time you will open Firefox, you will get a new box. Right there you will be able to create and open new accounts, as many as you wish!
If the above procedure doesn't work for you you can try this other one:

Open Firefox.
Download and install Multi-Fox addon. Such extension will let you access different websites with different usernames, simultaneously!
After you have installed the extension, restart Firefox.
Now in the context menus of links and bookmarks (Open in a New Identity Profile) and in File menu (New Identity Profile). Click one of the two option and you will be able to Manage two Facebook accounts at the same time!

Google ChromeIn Google Chrome, thanks to the Incognito mode, opening multiple Facebook pages should be even easier!
Open Chrome.
Login the first Facebook account on Chrome.
Now, click Ctrl + Shift + N to open an  Incognito window.
Go to Facebook.com and login with a different account.
The last trick is use different browsers at the same time. So if you have Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer, for example, open them and launch facebook.com. Right after that, for each browser login to a Facebook profile.
